Why local authorities should consider partnering with BT
Over the past two decades, BT has been working with councils to transform the way in which they deliver services. We have made significant contributions to the quality of the services they provide, their appropriateness and the levels of customer satisfaction.
All the local authorities BT works with have benefited, but those with which BT has a partnership have benefited most. Together, the local authorities have achieved efficiency improvements worth several hundred million pounds. Performance has improved in a host of key areas – sometimes spectacularly so.
But don’t just take our word for it
Here’s what some of our customers think:
“The ultimate objective of this partnership is to set about the sustainable development of a knowledge economy in the area. This would not be possible without the full range of measures proposed by BT, tailored to the local economic and demographic requirements of South Tyneside." - Iain Malcolm, The Leader of South Tyneside Council
“We were looking for a partner to help drive the long term strategic priorities of South Tyneside. With a proven track record, we chose BT to help improve economic prosperity, generate significantly more jobs and locate BT’s Local Government operations in the borough, kick-starting our major regeneration of the South Shields riverside.” - Martin Swales, CEO, South Tyneside Council
“During the due diligence exercise we worked collaboratively with BT, developing trust and relationships. This made the transition to BT very smooth. On day one we just continued working with the same familiar people.” - Stuart Anderson, Lead Programme Architect, BT City of Edinburgh Council Programme
“When people come into the building they say it’s got a real buzz. Flexible working creates energy and transparency. The new ways of working that we have put in place with the help of BT really do change the organisation’s culture dramatically, in a way that I don’t think you can bring about through any other method.” - Bridget Taylor, CEO, Customer Service Direct (BT, Mid-Suffolk District Council and Suffolk County Council joint venture)
