BT has been supporting NATS since 2001, providing network services in support of air traffic control for the UK air space and the eastern North Atlantic Ocean.

Last year BT assisted NATS with 2.1million flights carrying over 200 million passengers safely and efficiently.

NATS is now a member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS). BT was part of the supplier group that assisted NATS in achieving this prestigious Gold Certificate from CIPS.

The Defence Learning Portal now has more than 200,000 users making it one of the largest resources of its kind in Europe.

 

 

BT replaced 19 networks with one secure network, helping the MOD to save £700 million over ten years.

The DFTS service for the MOD handles 48 million gateway emails, 9 million network calls, 3,500 catalogue items, 140,000 emergency operator calls & 3 million enquiry operator calls.

The DFTS VPN is one of the largest in Europe and carries 750,000 calls per day from 225,000 users. Our secure network is CESG accredited to carry Restricted (IL3) information without encryption.

DFTS has 17 full and 16 interim Government accreditations.

The Met Office Is one of only two World Aviation Forecast Centres providing weather data for the world’s airlines above 24,000 feet.

 

 

BT helped the Government Communications Headquarters’ (GCHQ), New Accommodation Programme (NAP) rationalise office space.
