The conference will bring together seniormembers of the police service, other criminal
justice agencies, the wider public sector, thethird sector and academics.
It will address international, nationaland local perspectives on police effectivenessby exploring:

  • The challenges to contemporary policingin a changing world
  • Current approaches to meeting thesechallenges
  • Innovations in effective policing
  • Future directions for the police service

The conference will provide a unique opportunityfor the police service and its partners to learnabout and share best practice and innovationin effective policing and crime reduction.

BT is delighted to be hosting this year’s conference at BT Centre. We work closely with the police as we supply services to every police force in the UK and have strategic relationships with over a quarter of them. We also work with organisations such as the Association of ChiefPolice Officers Procurement Portfolio Group and the National PolicingImprovement Agency on ways to deliver increased value from BT’sproducts and services, enabling forces to make further savings inthese challenging times.
