With BT One Voice mobile access, customers and prospects can significantly reduce the cost of calls made to international destinations from their mobile devices.
BT One Voice mobile access can be used on a wide range of mobile devices on all GSM mobile networks in 29 countries around the world. By using this service, all international calls made from the end users' home country are re-route to BT's global BT One Voice network - which will dramatically cut the cost of the calls by leveraging BT's off-net termination rates.
Using the BT One Voice mobile access application will ease the use of the service even further. Compatible applications are available for a comprehensive range of mobile devices. The installation of the application is very quick and easy, as is the use of the application on the mobile device.
To install the application, the end user visits the BT One Voice mobile access application download web site (see navigation link on the left of this page). Once registration on the BT One Voice network is completed, the software can be downloaded with a few simple clicks. The software is activated by the user switching the phone off and back on. Once the software has been activated, all international calls originating from the calling party's home country are redirected to the BT global One Voice network for termination to the called party's phone.
BT One Voice mobile access offers an Automated solution for devices that run Symbian, Windows Mobile, Android and later BlackBerry operating systems, and a One-Touch solution for iPhone, devices running Java and earlier BlackBerry operating systems. BT provides a regularly-updated list of mobile phone models currently supported on the BT One Voice mobile access website.
BT One Voice mobile access is based on the operating system of the mobile phone; therefore users can enjoy the cost saving benefits of the BT One Voice mobile access regardless of which mobile operator's service they subscribe to.
In addition to ease of use, BT One Voice mobile access users also benefit from built-in resiliency. If, for whatever reason, calls cannot be routed to the BT One Voice global network, calls will be redirected to the user's mobile operator's network.
