Registers of Scotland (RoS) is the Executive Agency responsible for compiling and maintaining records relating to property and other legal documents in Scotland. RoS handles around 500,000 registration transactions each year and most of these relate to property transfers, including the registration of remortgages and secured loans. RoS has offices in Edinburgh and Glasgow and employs around 1,500 people.
