Consolidating in-store solutions improves service and saves money for leading retailer

BT Expedite already provided the majority of Mothercare retail applications, but support and sourcing of other services were handled separately. The company was not making the most of its purchasing power.

Wanting to improve co-ordination and reduce costs, Mark Sutton first extended the retail applications contract with BT to include service management and a helpdesk. He then consolidated Mothercare calls, lines, broadband, mobile, and wide area network services with BT.

While costs have definitely gone down – for example, the company’s mobile bill has been cut in half – Mark also appreciates the fact that BT helps Mothercare evolve its business and respond to market challenges.
