Norton Rose wanted to work with a specialist data centre services provider to host its new Risk Manager client application
BT’s Virtual Data Centre service has enabled Norton Rose to create, monitor, and manage its own virtual data centre infrastructure
A very flexible, agile, secure and scalable solution featuring low start-up costs and supporting a faster time-to-market
A leading international legal practice, Norton Rose Group offers full business law services across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia Pacific. To enhance client support, the practice has developed a range of online services using web-based information sharing tools to provide clients with fast access to legal and market know-how.
Risk Manager, the latest Norton Rose Group innovation, is an online risk management tool. It offers a range of risk templates that rank the seriousness of each risk against the probability of it occurring. Taking account of their overall risk appetite, clients can judge – from both a transactional and regulatory perspective – their greatest exposures. Norton Rose Group lawyers can then provide recommendations on how those risks can best be addressed.
James Davies, Application Development Manager at Norton Rose LLP, says: “We considered hosting the Risk Manager application ourselves, but decided that the most cost effective and scalable approach would be to work with a third party specialist.”
An RFP was issued and the field was narrowed to three. From that shortlist, Norton Rose Group chose BT.
