You know what it’s like at the average party — you get one group of people in the kitchen, one on the sofas and maybe one out in the garden, and none of them are interacting. The only way to fix this communication meltdown is to have the perfect party host on hand; someone who excels at getting disparate groups to start talking to one another.
Here’s the thing — that situation is strangely similar to silos in the workplace. And, like the party, an office needs that special sort of person — someone who makes others communicate and collaborate.
