BT wins Cisco’s ‘Services Partner of the Year’ award in Belgium and Luxembourg

Recognition for BT’s proactive network operating centre (NOC) service based on Cisco’s Smart Collector
BT has recently been awarded the ‘Services Partner of the Year’ award by Cisco for Belgium and Luxembourg (BeLux). Each year, Cisco recognises partners who have achieved impressive growth or distinguished themselves in other ways.
Hugo Detremmerie, head of partner organisation & commercial market at Cisco BeLux, said: “Over the past year, BT has been instrumental in driving growth within our services portfolio. BT recognised the potential our Smart Collector data inventory software has to offer and achieved - as the first in the region - an impressive six customer implementations.”
Cisco’s Smart Collector forms the foundation of BT Smart Maintenance, a proactive NOC-service developed by BT Advise, which inventorises, manages and updates a customer’s IT- and networkinfrastructure whilst simultaneously helps achieve cost savings.
Jilles Limburg, general manager BT Advise Benelux, who accepted the award, added: “It is fantastic to see that our investments in a dedicated management- and maintenance team, which makes optimal use of the opportunities offered by Cisco, are being acknowleged with this award. We will do everything it takes to expand our leading position in this segment in the year ahead.”
BT achieved similar success in the Netherlands recently. BT’s innovative hybrid cloud strategy, illustrated by the recent opening of a new data centre in Rotterdam, was recognised with ‘Service Provider Partner of the Year’ award.
BT's Benelux organisation achieved Cisco Gold Partner status in 2004 and in 2008 BT received a Global Certification, recognising that it meets the training requirements and program prerequisites to sell, implement and support Cisco's highly sophisticated solutions globally.
