According to Gartner, the continued growth of enterprise telecom services and the increase usage of smart devices – driven by the use of video, internet access and wireless technologies – are prompting many companies to look to telecom expense management and mobile device management services to enable more efficient procurement and support, as well as to manage costs more effectively.
CGG is a new client for BT. Founded in 1931 it is a fully integrated Geoscience company with a total workforce of over 9,800 staff working in more than 70 locations. CGG provides leading geological, geophysical and reservoir capabilities to a broad base of customers primarily from the global oil and gas industry.
A global contract for managed mobility services provides CGG with BT Managed Mobility Expenses, an innovative telecom expense management solution, for an initial scope of six countries in Europe, the Americas and Asia Pacific.
The contract addresses the needs of CGG for identifying, understanding and controlling their mobile costs, as well as optimizing their mobile fleet. BT Managed Mobility Expenses provides CGG with all the necessary mobility management tools by combining services, integration and an intuitive web portal. The contract also includes professional services for mobility sourcing in the six countries.
“We chose BT as our primary global mobility governance supplier because of their reactivity, flexibility and ability to fully understand our local and global requirements,” said Thor Grefslie, Global Telecommunication and Network Sourcing Manager at CGG. “BT Managed Mobility Expenses is the telecom expense management solution that best meets our needs. We think we have chosen the right partner to help us implement strong corporate mobility policies and control and predict our mobile spending.”
BT offers a broad portfolio of enterprise mobility products and solutions that help corporate customers and their employees to be more productive through being able to connect anywhere to access information and services securely. Those customers can exploit the opportunity created by the rapid evolution of enterprise mobility and the consumerisation of IT.
Jérôme Boillot, country manager BT France, stated: “We are proud that CGG has recognized our expertise of the worldwide enterprise mobility market by selecting BT Managed Mobility Expenses. Many global companies are looking for solutions that can deliver control of cost, process, innovation and usage around mobile services. The BT Managed Mobility Expenses solution is a great example. We look forward to supporting CGG’s further expansion around the world.”
