BT Italia Spa, 100% owned by British Telecommunications plc (BT), is Italy's leading supplier of integrated ICT services and solutions for businesses, from multinationals to Small and Medium Enterprises, and for public administrations.
The company was born in 1995 under Albacom brand and, in October 2006, it became BT Italia following its full acquisition by BT plc. More recently, in 2008, in BT Italia were merged the company I.NET and the Italian operations of Infonet and INS. During FY ending 31st March 2011 BT Italia had a turnover of more than 950 million euro.
The BT Italia Group includes also ERPTech (fully owned), BT Enia (59,54%) and NGI (96,18%) and coordinates the operations of BT Radianz in Italy.
It is headquartered in Milan, has offices in Rome and Turin and a commercial presence across the Country with offices in all major Italian cities.
BT Italia has a proprietary fibre optic network, covering more than 14,000 kilometres across the national territory, metropolitan networks (MAN) in various cities and 5 data centres (in Milan and Rome); its infrastructures are all linked to BT Paneuropean network.
