BT is also an Avaya Platinum Channel Business Partner in Asia Pacific, recognising our expertise in consulting, configuring and selling Avaya solutions in the region.

We are an accredited TelePresenceAuthorised Technology Partner in Asia Pacific, hosted from Hong Kong and Singapore with satellite status in India. Our 150 Cisco certified people offer our clients a complete end-to-end managed telepresence service, backed by our concierge services.

Our presence

Headquartered in New Delhi, BT has operations in six key cities across India: New Delhi NCR, Bangalore, Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad and Chennai. BT has 14 MPLS nodes in India across Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata and Pune.

BT has been in India since 1987 and set up its first customer relationship management office in New Delhi in 1995.

BT holds a 74 per cent interest in BT Telecom, which is a joint venture company with Jubilant Stock Holding Private Limited.

In 2007, BT Telecom India completed the acquisition of i2i Enterprise, a Mumbai-based enterprise services company specialising in IP communications services.

We operate our Asia Pacific Regional Centre of Excellence in India providing a single point of contact for all regional service enquiries, round-the-clock global fault management, seamless access to the Core Network Management, and proactive management of networks including customer premise equipment (CPE). Our dedicated service centre team offers multi-lingual service in English, Japanese, Mandarin, Cantonese and Hindi. We also have a 24-hour service centre in Mumbai.

BT operates customer innovation showcase in New Delhi, providing various demonstration pods for customers to experience BT’s solutions and propositions.

BT opened its first Asia Pacific Security Operations Centre (SOC) in Noida, India. The SOC manages customers’ security environments 24 hours a day, every day of the year, for a number of finance, retail, and manufacturing customers, and provides incident, change, configuration and problem management services working alongside BT’s European and Americas SOCs.

In 2008 BT established BT e-Serv, which runs Global Operations Centre in New Delhi to support existing centres in Hungary, Brazil and China, employing over 400 people.

BT also led a consortium of 22 industry and academic partners in establishing the India – UK Advanced Technology Centre in 2008.

BT holds 23.4 per cent stake in Tech Mahindra (formerly Mahindra BT), a joint venture set up in 1987 which is today amongst the top exporters of software services from India, serving customers around the world.

We have several strategic alliances in place to serve our customers better – whether it is with domestic telecom companies to provide the last mile connectivity, or service/delivery alliances to serve our customers better. Our access partners in India are Bharti, BSNL, Tata Teleservices and Reliance.

BT supports four community investment and sustainability programmes in India:

  • Kites - In 2002, BT and Delhi-based charity Katha established the Katha Information Technology and E-commerce School (KITES) in the heart of Govindpuri - Delhi’s largest slum area. The school equips children from the poorest communities with information and communication skills, ranging from basic computing skills to complex software programming.
  • BT & St Crispin’s IT Training Centre - The Centre is a partnership between BT and St Crispin’s - a registered charity in Pune, India, which provides a residential home and school for 675 underprivileged children. The Centre is a state of the art computer lab in the school, for which BT’s goal is to train 1400 children in IT skills over the next three years.
  • The BT Sustainable Development Index - The “BT Sustainable Development Index - an assessment of business performance in India” is an annual survey of senior opinion leaders and IT employees on the economic, environmental and social performance of Indian business.
