Ensuring positive outcomes by unlocking the demographic potential of the region

Shaping a New Strategic Context

Developments in energy and technology are set to affect business models and economies throughout the Middle East and North Africa. There is new momentum for regional and cross-regional trade and investment in Jordan, Egypt, Tunisia and Morocco, with Gulf Cooperation Council countries playing a pivotal role and new developments compounded by a geopolitical realignment following events in Iraq, Syria and Libya.

This meeting will bring together 800 leaders to discuss how to unlock the demographic potential of the region, particularly regarding youth employment and entrepreneurship. Building on Jordan’s unique role in the region, it will have the full support and presence of Their Majesties King Abdullah II and Queen Rania Al Abdullah, as well as the Government of Jordan.
