We're the third greenest company in the world
We’ve been placed third in Newsweek’s 2016 Green Rankings list
Since last year, our overall global ranking has gone up seven places.
And we’re the leading telecoms company, with a green score of 83.2 per cent.
Niall Dunne BT’s chief sustainability officer says: “Being ranked third in the world in the Newsweek Green Rankings is a massive endorsement of the work BT people do every day to deliver products and services that help customers and benefit the environment at the same time.
“I hope everyone throughout the business is really proud of this recognition. ICT is fundamental to helping the world take climate action. And we’re leading the way.”
Newsweek Green Rankings is one of the world’s top corporate environmental rankings. It assesses the 500 largest publicly-traded companies in the US, and the 500 largest publicly-traded companies globally on corporate sustainability and environmental impact.
