Bas Burger

Bas was appointed CEO, Business in January 2023.

As CEO of Business, Bas leads the drive to establish BT as the most trusted provider of secure connectivity and collaboration in the UK and internationally.

He heads a team dedicated to serving multinational companies and governments with cloud networking, voice, and security services to support digital transformation and growth.

Bas joined BT in 2008 as CEO of the Benelux region. As BT moved its international market strategy to vertical industries globally, Bas took on multinational customers in the manufacturing, logistics, pharmaceutical, consumer packaged goods and chemical sectors. He went on to lead our operations across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America from 2012 to 2013, before moving to the US, where he was President, the Americas, driving growth across the whole region. Bas was appointed Chief Executive Officer of BT’s Global unit in June 2017.

Before joining BT, Bas was Executive President and member of the management committee of Getronics NV. There he ran global sales, channels and partnerships and supported and developed their international business. He was also CEO and Managing Director of KPN Entercom Solutions, NV.

Originally from the Netherlands, Bas is based in London with his family. He is a graduate of the University of Applied Sciences Utrecht and holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Bradford, UK.
