The UK Health Cyber Security Summit will examine the latest cyber security issues faced by NHS, private hospitals and GP practices, with particular emphasis on cyber resilience, cloud-based threat intelligence, security of medical devices, electronic patient records as well as new mobile healthcare services.
In our key-note speech we will share the cyber security trends we’re seeing across the Globe, as well as in the Health Sector. We will highlight how new technology can enable the next generation of healthcare: bringing together technology and new ways of working to transform the delivery of care – cost effectively. And how, because of new and emerging technologies, we need to rethink the internal and external risk. How, together, we can create a more secure and resilient health and social care service.
At our pre-conference workshop we’ll debate, and offer advice; on the secure migration to Cloud Computing and the use of Mobile Devices. We’ll look at how these solutions are helping to improve patient care, as well as improve productivity and workflow management.
Visibility of security threats with Assure Analytics.
With cyber attacks getting more sophisticated and complex, being proactive and detecting security threats early is vital. Our revolutionary visual analytics service, Assure Anaytics, gives you real-time data and a clear understanding of the threats enabling you to respond quickly and protect your employees, partners and customers, and ultimately, your business.
I fully support the aim of disseminating Cyber Security best practice and particularly welcome the summit’s specific focus on the unique cyber challenges facing the health system. Effective cyber security and risk management are of critical importance to the sustainability of the NHS. The growing threat of criminal and malicious activity is clearly evidenced, with risks including the potential to disrupt health care provision, all of which can adversely affect public trust & confidence. Cyber threats of this nature can erode personal and business confidentiality, destroy system integrity and disrupt healthcare provision, all of which can adversely affect public trust and confidence.’’
- Rt. Hon. Jeremy Hunt MP, the Secretary of State for Health
