There are three principal components of RMS:

A route map for each consignment: giving you visibility from pick-up to delivery.

• RMS integrates booking information, airline schedules and customer-supplied parameters to create a dynamic on-screen route map.
• Clearly defined pictorial images enable you to easily identify which consignments are on time or behind schedule.

Consignment management: managing the entire process from pick-up to delivery and automatically notifying you of delays.

• Track and record progress between airports at master air waybill level.
• Track and record progress from warehouse to destination at house waybill level.
• Create place- and time-critical "milestones" on the route aligned to partner service level agreements and customer service commitments.
• Receive discrepancy alerts via email, with an embedded hypertext link taking the user directly to the route map for that consignment.

Achieve Cargo 2000 compliance

The RMS service is closely aligned to the Cargo 2000 Master Operating Plan concept, which calls for implementation in three major phases. RMS currently supports both phases one and two (at the master air waybill level, airport to airport, and at the house waybill level, door to door).
