ISDN2e gives you crystal clear call quality for up to eight phone lines. It’s ideal for smaller offices and you can also use it to transfer big files or link Local Area Networks (LANs), or for video conferencing.

Get great call quality

ISDN2e is a high-performance voice and data service. Digital technology gives you great line quality, almost instant connections and crystal clear calls with other ISDN users. Of course, you can make and take calls to and from analogue systems too.

Data gets through fast

You can depend on fast and error-free data transfer every time. Each ISDN2e connection gives you two independent 64k channels. You can connect up to eight digital devices like phones, computers with ISDN cards or digital faxes to a single circuit. Again, you can use analogue equipment through a terminal adapter.

Count on great support

If the service goes down, you can be sure of great support, free of charge. Our Back in Business service makes sure you don’t miss any calls. You can access personalised voicemail with your own PIN.

Numbers for all your staff

All your people can have direct dial numbers, so callers don’t have to go through a switchboard.

Costs depend on how big your organisation is and how many lines you need.

Versatile digital connections

Boost your capacity in two-channel steps

A single high-quality ISDN2e line has two 64k channels that you can use separately to make two calls at once.

You can add more ISDN2e connections to let you make more simultaneous calls and/or boost your data bandwidth.

A choice of diversion options helps to keep your business running if there’s a fault.

Choose your set-up

You can have separate phone numbers for phones or other devices connected to your circuit. How you do it depends on how your line is set up:

  • connect devices directly to the circuit, and have up to nine extra MSN phone numbers, which you allocate to your equipment
  • use a switch/PBX and have as many DDI numbers as you like, so callers get straight through to your people without going through a switchboard.

Free business continuity

As an ISDN2e customer you get our Back in Business service free. It means you can:

  • divert calls to our voicemail service
  • personalise the service
  • access the messages remotely with your own PIN.

Connect to the net

If you don’t have ADSL you can connect to the internet at 64kbps with a single ISDN channel, or at 128kbps with two together.

Digital phone lines across the country

ISDN2e is available in most of the UK. We’ll need to do a survey to make sure we can provide it to you.

Applications

Great for voice, data and video

You can use ISDN for voice calls and high quality data links with other ISDN subscribers, including overseas. Digital connections are ideal for video conferencing, linking Local Area Networks (LANs) at different sites, and transferring large files securely.

With all our Business Exchange lines, you’re automatically covered with Prompt Care. But you can also choose Total Care and Critical Care, depending on what maintenance cover you need.

Prompt Care

Reporting faults
You can report faults around the clock, Monday to Saturday. We’ll respond within four working hours and start investigating. Once we’ve confirmed it’s a fault, we’ll give you a reference number and tell you what progress we’re making to fix it.

We can divert your line to another number if you need us to.

Engineering visits
Our engineers will visit between 08:00 and 18:00, Monday to Saturday (except public holidays).

For an extra charge, we can work outside these hours if you need us to.

Fixing Faults
We’ll fix faults by the end of the next working day.

Total Care

Reporting faults
The same as Prompt Care, but you can report faults around the clock, seven days a week, including public holidays.

Engineering visits
Our engineers can visit seven days a week, between 08:00 and 18:00 (including public holidays). We may be able to arrange appointments from 07:00 and until 21:00 if you need them.

For an extra charge, we can also work outside these hours if you need us to.

Fixing faults
We’ll fix the fault within 24 hours of you reporting it, unless you make an appointment outside that time frame.

Critical Care

Reporting faults
The same as Total Care.

Engineering visits
Our engineers can visit any time you need them, including public holidays.

Fixing faults
We’ll fix the fault within six hours.

With all three levels of cover, if we don’t fix the fault within the target time, you can claim under our Customer Service Guarantee scheme.
