Bring your communications together and cut your costs

Bring voice, mobile and data to every desktop in your organisation with a single global network that gives you the same reliable service wherever you are. You’ll save money, and be ready to use emerging technologies as and when you need them. That’s because One Voice is the first step to bringing all your communications together with unified communication and collaboration (UCC) services.

Make things simpler, cut costs
By bringing everything together, you’ll save on call costs. With one supplier, one SLA and one bill, you’ll streamline your admin too. Our customers can save up to 25 per cent when using One Voice, depending on what service they’re already using. And if you add on One Voice anywhere you can now access the global VPN from any device, helping save upwards of 45% off your mobile bills

Grow as you go
One Voice works with your current technology. So you can move at your own pace from traditional voice technology to bringing voice and data networks together using Voice over IP (VoIP).

Get cheaper mobile calls around the world
One Voice mobile access and One Voice anywhere service cuts your international mobile costs by using the One Voice network.

Cut your cost of ownership
We manage and maintain the One Voice service, so you don’t have to pay expensive infrastructure and management costs.

Get One Voice, get everything
Because One Voice is a full service from one provider, it’s a platform for more services like conferencing, anywhere, mobile access, video and SIP trunking. You can add them when you’re ready.

Switching to One Voice saves money, it’s as simple as that. We’ve found that some of our biggest customers have slashed their costs by between 28 and 34 per cent. That’s a very attractive target for just about anyone in the current climate.”
- Jan Riechers, BT Global Services

Everyone is aware that we need to make significant cost savings across the business. One Voice mobile access enables the international part of a call to be routed over our network at significantly cheaper rates than those of an external mobile provider.”
- Tony Chanmugam, CFO, BT Global Services

Save money by switching your global voice services

Costs vary depending on your existing system, and where you are.

There are a range of tariffs available which include flat rates for on-net, fully inclusive call packages and competitive breakout rates. Typically, this will be defined on an individual customer basis, and calls will be routed to optimise the most favourable breakout point.

Our clients save 25 per cent on average after switching to One Voice. And if you add on One Voice anywhere you can now access the global VPN from any device, helping save upwards of 45% off your mobile bills

Technical specs

Unified communications around the world

With One Voice you have a choice of basic or more advanced features you can add when it suits you.

One Voice global VPN

Your own virtual private network, carrying voice and data traffic securely over a public network. You’ll save money as well as preparing yourself for the future. In fact our customers save on average 25% when they switch to BT’s One Voice service.

The service helps you move from traditional to IP-based telephony at your own pace without the disruption of retiring your existing equipment. Then you can add other UCC features like Presence, instant messaging and video conferencing when you’re ready.

One Voice global VPN uses PBX-based voicemail and PBX feature interworking.

Dialling plans:

  • All our private or public dialling plans conform to ITU E.164
  • Forced on-net calling (FON)
  • Virtual on-net calling (VON)
  • Flexible access via TDM connectivity or voice over MPLS (VoMPLS)

One Voice will take away the complexity of managing voice, offering one order form, one bill, one set of SLAs, on pricing scheme.

One Voice mobile access

One Voice mobile access cuts international mobile costs. All international mobile calls go to our One Voice network and across the globe at lower rates.

You can use One Voice mobile access with most mobile operating systems, including Java, Symbian, BlackBerry, Windows Mobile, iPhone and Android.

Special features include:

  • manual dial – access One Voice from a hotkey on your phone
  • one touch dial – available on most Java devices, iPhone after OS3.0 and BlackBerry after OS4.1
  • automatic dial – dial the One Voice access number automatically with Symbian, Windows Mobile and Android devices as well as BlackBerry after OS4.2.

One Voice conferencing

One Voice conferencing adds all the benefits of the BT Conferencing Global MeetMe service to the One Voice service. Because short code dialling is available globally for conferencing on the One Voice call plan, we only add chairperson charges. There are also more than 50 local toll-free and PSTN numbers worldwide for off-net access.

BT MeetMe is an always-on conferencing service that:

  • Is available 24/7, 365 days a year
  • Connects up to 40 participants in a conference call at any one time
  • Does not require pre-booking or operator input prior to participating in a conference
  • When combined with an (optional) web conference (e.g. MS LiveMeeting, Webex), gives the user a powerful tool for collaborative working, decision making etc

One Voice SIP trunking

One Voice SIP trunking opens up a range of unified communications applications to help your people collaborate better and make you more efficient. It’s vital too in helping people work better on the move or from home. Also, a SIP VPN lets you route calls over your WAN, so you make the most of your private network at no extra cost.

Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) is fast becoming the standard for a broad range of IP applications (such as VoIP, instant messaging, presence and conferencing) and equipment (such as IP phone systems).

SIP trunking will help you:

  • save costs
  • consolidate your communications costs and infrastructure
  • gain more control over your services
  • prepare your infrastructure for unified communications solutions.

BT One Voice SIP trunking provides a full PSTN/ISDN service – but on VoIP technology. It supports outgoing and incoming PSTN calls, calls to emergency services and most call types to local (national calls within country) services including Premium Rate and Shared Cost numbers. It’s also compliant with all appropriate national voice regulations in the countries where it is available.

One Voice anywhere

One Voice anywhere helps you lower your mobile costs by routing as many of your calls as possible over your existing BT One Voice network. Using the web to make and receive calls, can save you over 45 per cent on your mobile costs

BT One Voice anywhere lets users make and receive calls wherever they are in the world, dramatically reducing calling costs (and avoiding charges for roaming, retrieving voicemails or incoming calls) by pushing most (or all) of the call onto the cloud-based BT One Voice network.

You can direct all your calls to any number you like, pick up voicemails as text, and make and take calls on your laptop or smart phone.

Using BT One Voice anywhere gives your organisation two vital benefits - a globally-connected workforce and reduced mobile costs.

It opens up big cost-reduction opportunities simply by reprioritising calling methods:

  • Softphone where possible — either via mobile device or web application (Logging on via your smartphone wi-fi connection is the cheapest route)
  • Landline if softphone is not feasible
  • Mobile device is the defined destination of the call only when softphone and landline is not available.

It’s a set-up-and-go service that users can manage themselves via the web portal or smartphone app, setting up preferences so it fits in with their way of working.

Applications

Applications

One Voice is a global voice service that gives you different types of access, lets you handle calls on-net and off-net, and integrates with mobility and unified communications and collaboration (UCC) services.

One Voice anywhere
By using voice as just another application on your data network, BT One Voice anywhere helps you choose the most cost-effective way of sending your call as data.

It opens up big cost-reduction opportunities simply by reprioritising calling methods.

Your users need never miss a call again; The user gives out just the one number, and BT One Voice anywhere does the rest, with the intelligence to route voice calls anywhere to and from your softphone device (PC, laptop, notebook, tablet, iPod Touch), smartphone (via the app on iPhone, tablet, Android or BlackBerry), fixed line or mobile.
