BT Global Services at the World Economic Forum 2016
BT leadership attends annual conference in Davos, Switzerland
For decades, the World Economic Forum (also known as “Davos”) has purposed to improve the state of our world. Formed in 1971 as a non-profit foundation, the annual meeting in Davos-Klosters, Switzerland strives to bring together people from numerous countries, organizations and walks of life to affect positive change in the world. This year, we were proud to have representation from BT leadership in attendance, including a speaking session that featured our own Gavin Patterson, CEO of BT Group.
More than ever, leaders across the globe need to be collaborating, sharing insights and innovations for navigating the future. And with cybersecurity becoming increasingly more relevant for every industry, it was fitting for Gavin to participate in a panel that discussed protecting critical infrastructure against cyber threats. Alongside Gavin during “Designing for Cyber-Resilience” sat: Toomas Hendrik Ilves, President of Estonia; André Kudelski, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer, Kudelski Group; and William H. Saito, Special Adviser, Cabinet Office of Japan.
For all of the latest updates on World Economic Forum initiatives throughout the year, feel free to visit www.weforum.org. As this year’s meeting focused primarily on the future of a connected world, we were glad to have taken part and look forward to attending next year.
