BT MeetMe with Dolby Voice is now available in Latin America to deliver “in-person” conferencing experience

DC15-464 (8 October 2015)

The traditional BT MeetMe service incorporates Dolby technology to deliver stunning audio quality

BT today announced the availability of the BT MeetMe™ with Dolby® Voice™ service in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia and Mexico. BT MeetMe with Dolby Voice combines Dolby's nearly 50 years of audio expertise with BT's world-class communications capabilities delivers exceptionally clear, natural and productive engaging meetings.

BT MeetMe with Dolby Voice can also offer significant cost savings over traditional audio conferencing services. Because users can join conference calls over data networks, the service helps lower transport and access fees.

BT MeetMe with Dolby Voice can be accessed anywhere — via the desktop and from mobile devices. The technology enables users to experience stunning audio quality, free from background noise. They also hear each person from a distinct virtual location so it is easy to identify who is speaking and to hear everyone on the call — even those with soft voices. Conversation flows more naturally and everyone can contribute better.

“BT Meetme with Dolby Voice revolutionizes the way people communicate and collaborate,” said Andrew Border, vice president and general manager, Communications Business Group, Dolby Laboratories. “Because everyone hears clearly and feels like they are in the same room, participation increases and calls are more effective.”

Jennifer Artley, COO, BT in the Americas, said: “Audio quality has a tremendous effect on the productivity of meetings. With BT MeetMe with Dolby Voice, end users will gain substantial new benefits while delivering cost savings. We are proud to announce today that customers across Argentina, Brazil, Colombia and Mexico are also now able to enjoy the full benefits of this great technology”.

This is a partnership of two industry leaders. By combining BT’s world-class capabilities in communications and global reach with Dolby’s 50+ years of expertise in the science of sound and delivering the highest-quality audio in a variety of environments, this partnership will deliver more effective conferencing capabilities to the region with calls that sound and feel like in-person meetings.
