Top CEOs and Experts Gather at the 2015 Fortune Global Forum
(5 November 2015)
BT spends the first week of November discussing disruptive technology in San Francisco
We have spent our fair share of hours on many trade show floors during the past few months, and November began no differently. Each year, the Fortune Global Forum invites top CEOs and experts to gather and discuss emerging trends in global business. For 2015, the conference theme pulled from Silicon Valley and explored the implications of disruptive technology trends for 21st century corporations.
Among those in attendance was BT’s own Gavin Patterson, Chief Executive Officer, BT Group plc, who spent Monday participating in two panel discussions. Ahead of the main sessions, Gavin joined a luncheon hosted by McKinsey & Company to discuss the need for board’s to evolve their role in an organization as new technologies force many corporations to change their business models.
With more than 25 billion devices expected to be connected by 2020, both humans and machines are collaborating in new ways each day. In recognition of this movement, Gavin sat on a panel to discuss how connected devices have completely changed the way we live and how the Internet of Things is at the heart of it all.
Gathering with our peers always brings new opportunities to push the industry forward and we were glad to be part of this elite gathering of leaders and experts. For the latest BT news, be sure to stop by our website.
