Gartner Symposium ITxpo 2015 – Rising to the Challenge
(23 October 2015)
BT recaps its 2015 attendance and sponsorship of the annual Gartner Symposium where Colin Spence and Nick Catero served as featured speakers
The annual Gartner Symposium/ITxpo is touted as the world’s most important gathering of CIOs and Senior IT Executives, attracting more than 24,000 attendees, including 7,000 CIOs. The program is designed to provide these professionals with the strategies, insights and tools needed to lead the next generation of IT, achieving real business outcomes and BT was proud to be showcasing its innovative cloud and security solutions among some of finest experts in the world.
This year, Gartner structured the agenda around “mission-critical” priorities, categorized under six tracks, shifting from a framework that addressed a broad set of roles to one that focuses on the high-impact initiatives that work to align with overall enterprise priorities.
BT is not only a sponsor at the 2015 Symposium, but two of our team members, Nick Catero, Sales and Business Development Manager, Vertical Propositions and Colin Spence, VP Sales, East Region, US&C, were featured as speakers. On Industry Day, Nick’s talk-track detailed how BT is helping companies re-imagine retail, bolster customer loyalty, create retailing without boundaries and find inspired ways of connect with their customers. And on Tuesday, Oct. 6, Colin led an interactive CIO group discussion around BT’s Art of Connecting vision. This brainstorm purposed to demonstrate how companies can use technology creatively to achieve stunning business results in an increasingly digital age.
This year’s event was another spectacular exhibition. Gartner notes that a digital wave is sweeping through every industry, organization and culture, and we couldn’t agree more. Be sure to keep an eye out for BT at upcoming industry events throughout the year, and check out our website for the latest news and announcements.
