Gavin Patterson attends annual Wall Street Journal CEO Council
(18 November 2015)
Top CEOs talk growth, security and the coming U.S. leadership change in Washington, D.C.
Each year, the Wall Street Journal CEO Council gathers more than 100 chief executives from the largest and most influential companies to discuss top concerns surrounding global business and public policy. On November 16 and 17, these leaders gathered in Washington, D.C. for panel discussions featuring Speaker of the House, Paul Ryan, 2016 Republican Presidential Candidate and U.S. Senator (R., Fla.) Marco Rubio, and Secretary of Defense, Ash Carter, to name a few.
BT Group’s Chief Executive Officer, Gavin Patterson was among the attendees at the event. Together the executives and guest speakers discussed topics with both national and global relevance, including economic trends and the overall economic outlook for the year ahead, as well as issues such as immigration, education, innovation and business regulation.
Following last year’s conference, the CEO Council’s recommendations were aggregated and published in a special edition report of The Wall Street Journal. The full 2014 special report can be found here.
