BT Federal modernizes the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention’s global network
BT Federal has been selected to provide managed network & security services to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, supporting their digital transformation objectives.
The General Services Administration (GSA) and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have selected BT Federal for the transformation of their legacy infrastructure to a Managed Network Solution (MNS). This contract was awarded under the GSA Multiple Award Schedules (MAS) 70 Program.
The CDC is responsible for protecting public health and safety in the US and internationally by ensuring the control and prevention of disease. The CDC conducts critical scientific research and provides regular information on health issues to ensure that communities and citizens are protected from health threats.
BT Federal will support the CDC’s strategic objective to use new technologies to digitally transform their operations and will provide enhanced performance and security to CDC’s operations in the Americas and internationally in more than 40 countries across 5 continents. BT Federal will provide managed services to CDC, allowing them to control performance, cost and risk from the initial design of their systems through to the implementation and in-life management of the solution. By improving the efficiency and security of their operations, the CDC will be able to deal with public health concerns more responsively and efficiently.
