Overview
Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) using WebRTC, is a technology that allows you to make voice calls using a broadband Internet connection instead of the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN). This will generally save money as both voice and data transmissions share the same network path.
Internet Access
- Wi-fi or Ethernet connection
- Mobile data plan
- ~90Kbs per connection of internet bandwidth should be allotted
Network Quality
VoIP services use real-time media communications and can be significantly degraded by the amount of latency, packet loss, and jitter. If poor voice quality is experienced consult your IT department for network analysis.
