Recording your meetings

Recording your meeting is easy. How to start a recording depends on your call type.

For BT MeetMe services and/or Webex, this feature needs to be enabled on your account. For Event services, you need to order this feature when you schedule your event.

How to start and stop a recording

  1. Start
    If recording is enabled on your account, you will see a recording button.
    To start a recording, click or tap the recording button, and wait for the button to change status.
    You and your participants will also hear "The conference is now being recorded."
    Participants who join after the recording has started will be informed that the call is being recorded.

  2. Stop
    To stop a recording, simple click or tap the stop recording button.
    Wait for the button to change status.
    You and your participants will also hear "The conference is no longer being recorded."

  3. Once the recording is saved onto the system, you will receive an email "Your meeting recording is now available."

Recording with BT MeetMe Global Access

  1. Start
    To start recording your conference, press 8 on your telephone keypad. Follow the voice prompts:
    - Press 1 to confirm that you want to start recording your conference.
    - Press 2 to return to the conference without enabling recording.
    Participants who join after the recording has started will be informed that the call is being recorded.

  2. Stop
    To stop recording your conference, press 8 your telephone keypad. Follow the voice prompts:
    - Enter 1 to stop the recording.
    - Enter 2 to return to the conference.

  3. Once the recording is saved onto the system, you will receive an email "Your meeting recording is now available."

Recording for Events

If you're scheduling an event, you need to order recording while scheduling your event.

Types of events are BT Scheduled Event, BT Operator Assisted Event, BT Premium Event.

Your recording will be sent by the helpdesk according to the order.

BT Legal Hearing calls are always recorded as required by law. To obtain a copy of the recording, you need to request through the court.

Recording with Webex

If you are in a Webex meeting, it's best to click Recording through the Webex interface. This will capture both the audio and visual streams of the meeting. See the Webex user guides for more information.
