When can I begin to use my account?
What are the system requirements for using BT MeetMe computer audio or VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol)?
The system requirements for using VoIP can be found here. This includes information regarding: internet access, network quality, network configuration, and browser and app versions.
What information should I give to someone that I am inviting to my meeting?
Give your participants the meeting date, start time, time zone, link to the dial-in telephone numbers and the participant passcode.
What do I need in order to join a meeting?
All you need is a telephone and keypad, the dial-in number and passcode or a PC/laptop to join using a web browser or an iOS or Android device to join via a mobile.
What is a Global dial in number?
MeetMe global dial-in numbers allow participants to dial in to the meeting from anywhere in the world using a toll free or local number.
Local numbers are more cost-effective than using international or toll free numbers.
What if I need help during my meeting?
Press *0 on your telephone keypad during the call to reach a meeting coordinator who may ask you:
- who’s experiencing the issue?
- what problem are you experiencing?
- when did the problem occur?
- what telephone number did the person dial?
- what was the type of telephone used (e.g. mobile, landline, or IP phone)?
Can I stop and restart the recording during my call?
Yes, the chairperson can stop the recording by pressing *8 and start another recording by pressing *8 again. Please note that this would be classed as 2 individual recordings and therefore the recording charge would be incurred twice
In which countries is MeetMe available?

How do I improve the sound quality of my call?
* 6 - mute on / off – if you’re in a noisy environment or on a mobile phone, you can mute your line. Any participant can mute their own line when not speaking. This will reduce background noise in the meeting.
Try not to use a speaker phone. If unavoidable, use the mute function when not speaking and move any other meeting equipment - e.g. projectors - away from the microphones.
* 0 - operator assistance – use this function if you still find you’re having sound problems and a meeting coordinator will help you.
What is an international dial-in number?
An international dial-in number allows participants from over 70 countries to join the call with a local dial-in number, saving them the cost of an international call.
It can also be used by participants located in a country that is not listed, so they can use the international number of the country nearest to them.
MeetMe Recording
What is MeetMe recording?
MeetMe Recording allows you to instantly record your BT MeetMe meetings by pressing *8 on your telephone keypad or via the mobile/desktop applications. Once the call is completed, the chairperson can download the recording and either share or archive it.
Can I record my MeetMe meetings?
Yes – press *8 on your telephone keypad or the record button on the mobile/desktop applications and your recording will begin. Press *8 again if you wish to stop the recording.
Is there an additional cost to record a MeetMe meeting?
Yes, there is. Please refer to your service terms and conditions for the details.
How can I access the MeetMe recording after my meeting?
When your meeting ends, the chairperson will receive an email with a URL that will take them to where they can retrieve the recording.
Conference Level Passcode (CLP)
What do I do if I forget my Conference Level Passcode?
How many characters can I have in my CLP?
You can have up to 18 numbers in your CLP.
Can I use letters or symbols in CLP?
No, the system will only accept numbers (up to 18).
Do I have to use a CLP for every audio conference?
No, a CLP only needs to be added to your meetings that need an additional layer of security.
What if I lock the conference (*7) and others try to join using the CLP?
These participants won't be able to join unless you unlock the meeting, press *7 to unlock the conference. (The CLP will have no effect on this.)
What happens if my meeting runs over into my next scheduled call?
If you have a different CLP for your next meeting, you should press #6 and select the option to either change your CLP (*2) or delete it (*3).
When I use a CLP, is it being captured and shown on the invoice for that particular conference?
No, the CLP is not a bill back code. It’s a one-time code that is only used for meeting entry, so there won’t be a reference for that meeting on your bill.
Sub Conferencing
If a participant moves to a sub-conference after sending an operator request (*0), will the operator be able to locate the participant?
Yes.
Can I record both my main and my sub-conferences?
No, only your main conference will be recorded.
Can I initiate a roll call in my main and sub-conferences?
Yes, the chairperson can. Roll call will identify participants in any meeting where the command is initiated.
Can I mute both main and sub-conferences?
Yes, the chairperson can mute any meeting where the command is initiated.
Is there a limit to how many participants can join a sub-conference?
All participants can be in one sub-conference (although then it really isn't a sub conference) or they can be split. But you can’t have more participants in a sub-conference than your main conference limit.

How am I billed for Record All Conferences?
Standard recording charges apply and are billed to the chairperson of the call.
Can I record a sub-conference?
No, only the main conference can be recorded.
