BT to boost its network capabilities in Argentina

New investments in network infrastructure and services to help BT customers grow in Argentina.

BT today announced a three-year plan for new investments in its network capabilities in Argentina, designed to help multinational customers better leverage the power of technology to grow their business in one of the most promising Latin American economies.

The investments announced today include:

  • Deployment of new network points of presence to improve customer access to BT’s high performance cloud services
  • Integration of the latest security features and environment controls into all elements of BT’s network infrastructure across the country
  • New network capabilities in key areas of Buenos Aires by expanding BT’s city fibre ring
  • New hardware to improve connectivity performance into the capital’s main datacentres and business hubs
  • Rationalisation of BT’s network infrastructure across Argentina by standardising on future-proof technologies and gradually closing down legacy assets.
  • Quality improvements to network services by migrating existing customers from third parties access suppliers to BT’s own network
