Cloud collaboration.

Collaborating seamlessly using the cloud

Unified communications solutions

The reality

The challenge

Your organisation’s success depends on how well you communicate. With people scattered across the globe, using different devices to keep in touch, it can be a challenge to get everyone on the same page.

The challenge is to connect your employees, teams and locations with each other—and with partners and customers— meaning they can get more done, quicker than ever before. Whether it’s speeding up response times or making critical business decisions at a moment’s notice, find out how our voice, video conferencing and collaboration products can help you accomplish more.

Efficiency through the cloud

We work with you to build web, voice and video conferencing connections, so you can easily share ideas, collaborate and give mobile users secure access to important systems and resources. And because it’s delivered as a service, we can simplify and streamline your unified communications deployment, making it easier to manage, maintain and scale while controlling costs.

We make it easy for you to get your people working together as quickly as possible. Regardless of where they are. In fact, we’ve found employees are 30% more satisfied when they work in the cloud. And 28% more productive.1 But we can go at your pace. If you don’t want to push everything into the cloud at once, you can start with just one office.

We can bring your voice and IP networks together. The idea is to help you eventually get rid of all that legacy equipment. But if you want to have a hybrid network, maybe to test out small areas or slowly roll it out to certain offices – we can do that.

Stay connected

In the UK BT use EE, the UK mobile network with 4G in more places than any other2, so your people can call and collaborate wherever they are. EE are aiming to cover 95 per cent of the country’s landmass with 4G by 2020, while over 98 per cent of the population can already access our 4G network.

What that means for you

It’s cheaper - one price, one user, one month

Firstly, one network is cheaper than two. Run your voice network over IP and step away from your old infrastructure.

And you’ll save costs on collaboration software by paying for a user a month. You don’t need to spend loads on buying new equipment, every time you want another user set up. Got a freelancer who’s only with you for two months? Then just pay for two months. Want to test out a new office for six months? Then get it set up, and if it doesn’t work out – you can easily call it a day and shut it down.

It’s more flexible and scalable

If you want to add a new office into the mix, we only need to set up one network. And if you can’t reach it with your IP network (somebody’s home, for example) we can safely go over the internet. So your desk phone can link up to your home phone.

It’s safer - one service, multiple backups

We’ve got data centres across the world. And they mirror each other in each region – so if there’s a problem in one place, you won’t lose all your communications. And we’ll sort out all the security, too.

You can also keep your mobile data safe. If you’re having one of those days, and leave your mobile on the train, one of your colleagues will be able to lock it remotely and wipe all the work data. And you can keep things private by separating work and personal data on devices.

It’s easier to analyse.

We’ve got reporting tools that will tell you what’s going on in the network, enabling you to maintain quality audio and video calls, and hence a great end user experience. You can plan for the future. Figure out how to get more people on. Or maybe even realise where you need to cut back.

Why BT

We understand cloud.

We were working on cloud technology before it even got a name. And now we’ve got data centres across the world, which means we can offer the same price for the same kind of user. No matter where they are. We’ve also got over 19 million wi-fi hotspots, across 113 countries.

And our cloud services are plugged straight into our wider network. So if you have IP Connect, you’ll be up and running quickly. And if you have our contact centre software, we can sort out the back end technology, as well as the front.

On top of that we can combine our BT MeetMe with Dolby Voice audio with the rest of our conferencing services.

Our experience, portfolio and innovation

We’ve got the UK’s number one mobile network2 with more than 98% population coverage for 4G. So if you get both your fixed and mobile networks from us, you’ll be able to work faster, securely and save money.

One supplier means less complexity and lower costs. We’ve helped organisations introduce new technology and integrate with existing systems, acting as advisers over the long term.

We make sure everything happens at a pace that suits you, and manage things every step of the way. And we won’t be going anywhere once you’re all set up.

Partnering with us also means access to new technology. We’ve invested £5bn in research and development over the last five years alone, and hold over 5,000 patents worldwide.
