BT receives pre-eminent global industry award at DatacenterDynamics’ ceremony in Mexico City

BT wins DatacenterDynamics “Best Data Centre Service Provider” Award in Latin AmericaBT won the prestigious title of “Best Data Centre Service Provider” for its NAOS Data Centre in Colombia from The DatacenterDynamics Awards. The Awards are presented annually, recognizing innovation, leadership and 'out of the box' thinking. The award was presented to BT executives at the Latin America 2015 awards ceremony in Mexico City.

BT’s NAOS Data Centre has been recognized as one of the top regional ICT projects. The facility, located in the Tocancipá Free Zone near the city of Bogota (Colombia), is the first in Latin America to receive the three highest data centre certifications, two from Uptime Institute as Tier IV Certification of Design Documents and Constructed Facility, and ICREA Level 5, which validates BT NAOS as a world class certified high security Data Centre. The data centre was officially opened in November 2014.

The DatacenterDynamics Latam awards

The DatacenterDynamics Awards Latam comprises of a series of prestigious recognitions which, at a global level, acknowledge the most outstanding projects, teams and professionals from the sector. The eight categories received close to 60 applications from almost every country in the region, including Nicaragua, Bolivia, Ecuador, Colombia, Argentina, Costa Rica, Peru and Mexico.

The jury for the DatacenterDynamics Awards Latam, which were presented yesterday within the framework of Mexico Data Center Week, comprises an independent panel of judges made up of industry experts.
