BT America’s Richard Nohe Named 2015 U.S. Telecoms In-House Individual of the Year by Legal 500
(2 July 2015)
Nohe honored as one of the very best legal practitioners operating in the United States
Richard Nohe, General Counsel for BT Americas, has been named the 2015 U.S. In-House Individual of the Year for the telecoms industry by Legal 500.
Each year, Legal 500 conducts over 50,000 interviews with in-house counsel and law firms in the U.S. in order to find the best legal practitioners in their field of work. Unlike any other awards in the industry, each element of the profession is recognized equally. In return, only the very best legal practitioners operating in the United States are honored each year by the awards.
As General Counsel of BT Americas, Nohe leads a team of over 40 professionals across 35 countries on issues relating to the company’s legal, governance, compliance and regulatory matters. Previously, Nohe was named a 2014 Corporate Counsel 100: U.S. Rising Star by Legal 500 for his work with BT Americas.
Throughout his career, Nohe has gained a wide range of experience managing corporate legal affairs, complex multi-jurisdictional contract negotiations, government relations and regulatory analyses across the Americas, Europe and Asia Pacific. Prior to joining BT, Nohe worked for Metromedia Fiber Network where he navigated the legal complexities of the company’s expansion into 16 European cities in eight countries in just 18 months.
Nohe received a Master’s degree in Telecommunications from NYU and a JD from New York Law School. He is a member of the New York State Bar and an IAPP Certified Information Privacy Professional.
Award winners will be honored at a dinner in New York this fall. More information on the Legal 500 award winners can be found on the Legal 500 United States website.
