How to manage multiple cloud services with BT and Microsoft

We're collaborating with Microsoft to provide cloud infrastructure, networking, security and managed services to scale and optimise your Azure operations, globally.

CEO, Business

At Microsoft Inspire 2018 in Las Vegas, one of the key topics is how to harness the full power of the cloud.

We all know that transforming infrastructure is a key enabler to making organisations more agile and flexible. But the practicality of implementing this comes with challenges.

Multinational organisations are exploiting the cloud to take advantage of scale and facilitate greater agility. But you now have to manage multiple cloud services in complex environments, securely and simply while at the same time making sure applications delivered from the cloud work around the clock and around the world, regardless of the location.

At BT, we believe that investing in the skills and insights to address the new infrastructure managed services is important, and not just in the IaaS domain, but also the networking, and security domains.  These elements can work brilliantly to ensure a great end user experience.

As the number of cloud services in use grows, customers tell us they want choice and a combination of public and private clouds to meet their needs, while maintaining control and good governance of infrastructure.

We’re collaborating with Microsoft to accelerate cloud adoption for Microsoft Azure, especially as you drive to scale your cloud consumption on a global basis. The new managed service combines infrastructure, network and security with cloud solution management and monitoring, for both Azure and future Azure Stack technologies.

We are making it easier to consume hybrid cloud globally at scale in a consistent way, by combining the right network, security, cloud and IT managed services to enable your digital transformation. We are working with Microsoft on a Centre of Excellence, which focusses on network, security and computing competences.

As Jean-Philippe Courtois, Executive Vice President and President, Microsoft Global Sales, Marketing & Operations, said, "We are thrilled to expand our unique partnership with BT to accelerate digital transformation in the telecoms sector. Together with BT, we will develop a Microsoft Azure solution that helps enterprise customers make break through developments by providing greater agility and unequalled levels of cloud security".

We realise that using cloud services is a means and not an end in itself, it’s a way to meet business requirements in a digital world. The opportunities are endless and the answers are unique to you.
