David Simpkins
General manager, managed services and public cloud
David leads our team responsible for launching a set of managed services delivered consistently across public and private clouds.
Working with strategic partners, such as Microsoft and AWS, David’s a keen advocate of simplifying hybrid cloud and network infrastructures and making them work alongside traditional IT, security and networks for some of the largest businesses in the world.
Prior to his current role, he was instrumental in building our Compute and Cloud business, our global data centre strategy and international business development in Europe, Asia Pac and Latin America.
David has worked for us in a variety of roles over his 22-year service. He pioneered the rollout of application-as-a-service and web services. He’s also acted as an internal and external consultant rolling out HR and CRM applications, working closely with strategic partners.
He completed a Masters in International Business after graduating in Business and Finance, both at the University of Central Lancaster.
