Les is the chief security officer for BT and director of cyber information security.
Les has 27 years of experience working as a technologist and programme manager in the UK’s intelligence, security and defence community.
He joined usin 2014 from GCHQ, the UK Government’s signal intelligence and security agency. Whilst there, he was instrumental in developing and delivering complex and pioneering IT security capabilities. Prior to joining GCHQ, Les also served for 10 years at UK Ministry of Defence’s research agency in Malvern, Worcestershire. There, he developed novel IT security capabilities and managed large scale defence procurements.
